Lash refills in Nyon: when and why to top up your extensions

Are your extensions starting to thin out after a few weeks? That's normal. Here's everything you need to know about lash refills: when to book one, what it costs, and how to stretch the time between appointments.
Why do extensions fall out?
Your natural lashes have a life cycle of 60 to 90 days. Every day you naturally shed 1 to 5 lashes, and the extension bonded to each one goes with it. After 2 to 3 weeks you'll notice small gaps in your lash line. That's completely normal and has nothing to do with the quality of the application.
Refill or new full set?
The most common question.
Refill: if you still have 40 to 50% of your extensions in place (around 2 to 3 weeks after application), a refill is enough. Extensions that have twisted or grown out are removed, and new ones are applied to the bare lashes.
New full set: if you wait more than 4 weeks, or fewer than 30% of your extensions remain, you'll need a removal followed by a fresh full set. That takes longer and costs more.
Regular refills are the more economical option over time.
How often should you book a refill?
Ideally every 2 to 3 weeks. That rhythm keeps your lash line consistently full and keeps appointments short (45 to 60 minutes at Alexanna).
Beyond 4 weeks, a refill becomes difficult: too many lashes have completed their cycle and there's little left to work with.
How to make your extensions last longer
Clean your lashes daily. Contrary to popular belief, not touching your lashes wears them out faster. Gentle cleansing with an oil-free product removes the sebum and dust that weaken the adhesive.
Sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase. Cotton snags the fibres.
Never pull on an extension. If a lash bothers you, brush it gently or wait for your next appointment.
Avoid oil-based products around the eyes: cleansers, moisturisers, serums.
Careful with mascara. If you must, waterproof only and only on the tips. Ideally, none at all.
How much does a refill cost in Nyon?
A refill costs less than a full set since the work is shorter. At Alexanna, refills start at 95 CHF depending on how much needs topping up.
Compare that with a full set every month: a refill every 2-3 weeks works out cheaper over time and keeps your look consistent.
