2026 is the year of texture and personalisation: we are moving away from uniform sets towards truly bespoke looks. Here is an honest overview of the biggest eyelash extension trends right now, and above all what I offer in my Nyon studio, what I do on request, and what I deliberately choose not to do. A real professional does not follow every fad blindly.

What I actively offer in Nyon

  • Wispy / whisper (feathered) : fuller zones with light spikes for an airy, textured look. Read the article

  • Wet look / "Kim K" effect : glossy lashes in clean spikes, perfect for an event. Read the article

  • Personalised effects and mapping : cat eye, fox eye, doll eye, matched to your eye shape. Read the article

  • Brown / soft black lashes : a softer alternative to intense black. Read the article

  • Natural / "clean girl" effect : the most requested look, discreet and light, in classic or hybrid.

On request, after a consultation

Manga (or anime) lashes, very graphic and dramatic, are not what my clients here usually ask for. That said, I am open to creating them on request, after a consultation to check the look suits you and works on your natural lashes.

What I choose not to do, and why

Lower lash extensions: I do not offer them. They hold poorly and damage the lashes quickly. I would rather be honest than follow a trend at the expense of quality.

More broadly, I do not adopt a trend simply because it goes viral. The health and lasting beauty of your natural lashes come before the hype of the moment.

Trends I keep an eye on

The industry moves fast. I keep an eye on coloured lashes, the eyeliner effect, and LED/UV-cure adhesives. If one of these interests you, let's talk about it at the consultation: I will honestly tell you whether it suits your lashes. For an international overview of the 2026 trends, see the analyses by The Lash Lounge or LashVee.

And lash lifts?

A lash lift is a different technique: it curls and enhances your own natural lashes, without applying extensions. It is a separate world, with its own result and its own aftercare, not to be confused with extensions.

My approach

Follow the trends that deliver a real, lasting result, adapt every set to your eyes, and advise you honestly. That matters more than any passing fad. We define the style that suits you together, at every appointment.

Do eyelash extensions damage your natural lashes?

In short: no, when they are applied correctly. An extension is attached to a single natural lash, with a length and weight suited to that lash. Done well, the application does not damage your lashes.
